“Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there, for seeing it all, for being a part of it all—and for taking such amazing photos in the midst of such great adventures.---------Pearl Cleage, author, poet, playwrite and professor.

The photographs! The radio work! Publications! Exhibits! Amazing stuff!
Sept. 14, 2007 was an historic day in the development of my multimedia archive of journalism in 1970s Atlanta. The first major exhibit of my photojournalism opened at Mason Murer Gallery in Atlanta. Mark Karelson, director of the gallery, estimated between 800 and 1,000 people attended the opening. They included Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, former Mayor Sam Massell, the two widows of the late Mayor Maynard Jackson, Fifth District Congressman John Lewis, members of the Atlanta City Council and state legislature and all of my old hippie friends from the Great Speckled Bird era.

Bo Emerson wrote a nice long story for the AJC, J. D. Coleman did a full page interview with the Atlanta Voice and Steve Goss and Cyd Hoskinson did interviews with me for Atlanta Public Radio, WABE.
The gallery wants me to do another show, this one on Atlanta women in the Civil Rights Movement. Stay tuned.
